I absolutely love to collect things. One of my favorite things to do is go thrifting and find more items to add to my collections. I mainly collect picture frames, plants, doilies, crystals, and seasonings. I used to collect more, however; mostly Pokemon cards, of which I've sold the majority of to my brother. I still have a small collection of them that have sentimental value or are worth a decent amount of money, though. Below are pictures of my collections themselves.
One thing that I have loved collecting over the last few years are doilies. I buy them from garage sales, thrift stores, antique stores, or anywhere else I can come by them secondhand. I love using them under other decorations, or as centerpieces on furniture. I see so many of them sitting in bins at secondhand stores, so I wanted to find a way to repurpose them and add a fun touch to my home and my furniture.

griswold #8
My love of collecting things comes from my dad. For as long as I can remember, he has been a collector of various things. For a while, he collected, cleaned, and resold cast iron pans, and learned a lot about them in the process. Since then, I have collected a few of his extra pieces or ones that he did not quite want to sell but did not have the space for. They are both Griswolds, which he describes so lovingly as "the Cadillac of cast iron". I own a #8 from the early 1940s, and a #3 from the late 1930s. They both come in very handy for any sort of cooking to be done with a skillet.
I love to cook, and now that I have an apartment, I have the space to do so. I have loved collecting little glass jars from antique stores and vintage expos to hold my spices and seasonings. The seasonings themselves come from various places; some are homemade, some are from the Amish, some are from Spice and Tea Exchange, and some are just from the grocery store. Additionally, the majority of the dried herbs in my collection were grown in my grandmothers garden, before I picked the, dried them, and ground them up to use on my dishes.

embroidery thread
Since I do a lot of work with embroidery, I have collected many different colors and types of embroidery floss. Some I have bought individually, while others came in large packs. Most came wrapped in plastic, so I had to individually and painstakingly rewrap them around the plastic holders in order to make them all fit in either of my two boxes.
thank you!
