Having proper equipment (uniforms, weapons, sparring gear, armor) is important for any sport. In Martial Arts, you always want to be prepared for anything your instructor throws at you. However, it is up to you and your instructor as to what equipment is necessary for you! Most schools in the Universal Kempo Karate Schools Association have a surplus supply of weapons and sparring gear to loan out during class times, but sometimes it is nice to have your own! Universal Kempo Karate does have its own uniform supplier, and one will be supplied for you at your enrollment.
