Skeptical psychologist Kristen Bouchard joins David Acosta, who is training to be a Catholic priest, and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate the church's backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions and other extraordinary occurrences. Their job is to assess if there's a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work, examining the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. The series is created by Robert and Michelle King.
I love this show. Although it’s not a sitcom, it fit best in this category. It is the perfect mix of scary and funny. Although in the beginning, it feels like you get a lot of cliffhangers, everything is set up perfectly for the fifth and final short season. The next season sounds like its only going to be a few episodes to wrap up the end of season 4. Although I am dissapointed it won't be a full season, I am happy we are getting an end. I really appreciate that even though each episode seems like its own unfinished story, in the end, it all gets tied together in a way that makes sense.
